Workshop: 'Zur Agency von Objekten und Personen'
"Semantisierung(en) und ihre Wirkung(en)"
The "grand challenges", such as the consequences of climate change, the question of mobility and migration, as well as the rapid changes in society through digitalization and artificial intelligence, affect all people. The question of the appropriate perception, description, and interpretation of these complexes of phenomena is central, because their semantization already forms possible actors and spaces of action through the use of certain concepts, categories, linguistic images, and value patterns. Different semantizations thus lead to specific ideas of agency and integrity within the presented future scenarios. It is precisely this relationship that is to be investigated in the project. The analytical connection of the terms semantization, agency and integrity is innovative.
