Our IT landscape at a glance
Division 2 – IT and Computing Services
Division 2 designs, operates and is responsible for the entire IT infrastructure of the university administration. Our dedicated specialists provide state-of-the-art hardware and software for the approximately 900 administrative staff employed by the University administration. We also operate central services such as DMS, ERP and a campus management system to service the some 8,000 staff and 35,000 students working and studying at the University. Division 2 also provides the university administration with core services such as the IT network, the mail server, IT security and MDM.
University IT
As the central IT service provider at the University of Bonn, University IT operates a range of central IT support services used in research, teaching and learning, and provides University members with a range of IT support services.
Institutes and further decentral units
Committed IT experts are also needed in the faculty departments to ensure the smooth functioning of the programs and systems that they deploy.
