A workshop offered by the Human Resources Development

In this workshop you get an overview of important aspects of scientific policy advice, such as different models, relevant stakeholders and their specific needs as well as possible entry routes. Benefit from practical exercises on concrete counseling situations with different stakeholders.

Content

  • Part I: Recapitulation of the most important results of the lecture series. (It is possible to join the workshop without visiting the three sessions that took place in the weeks before)
  • Part II: Practical exercise: Participants receive a survey on their field of science prior to the workshop and a concrete advisory request. In the workshop, they pitch the contents in various fictitious political consulting situations (parliament, ministry or business association) and discuse their experiences and learnings afterwards.
  • Part III: Individual reflection and discussion on the transferability of the lessons learned to other disciplines.
