Find out about the attending support structures of the University of Bonn

The Bonn Graduate Center is the central point of contact for all non-academic issues regarding doctoral research in Bonn such as individual consultations, skills and training program Doctorate plus, funding opportunities, coaching and E-Trainings as well as good scientific practice.

Are you enrolled at the University of Bonn? Are you about to apply for internships, a part-time job or even your first job after graduating? Are you thinking about what you would like to do after university? The Career Service provides a range of advice and support about choosing your career and applying for jobs.

The Gender Equality Office supports the University of Bonn in implementing gender equality measures on a structural level. An advocate for women’s visibility in academia, the office offers workshops and training programs, prizes, funding schemes, and other support, including the MeTra Mentoring Program and the Maria von Linden Training Program, both aimed specifically at women early career scholars. In addition, the office, and in particular the Gender Equality Officer, is involved in the University’s development planning as well as staff hiring decisions. The Gender Equality Office is the main point of contact for all members of the University for questions relating to gender equality or discrimination on the basis of gender.

The Office of Family Services supports employees and (doctoral) students in family issues. They give individual and confidential advice on the following topics: Maternity leave and parental leave, childcare, benefits for families, eldercare.

Healthy Campus Bonn aims to establish healthy study and working conditions at the University of Bonn and offers various health-related services for all university target groups. For doctoral students, Healthy Campus Bonn, in cooperation with the Bonn Graduate Center and the Techniker Krankenkasse, offers a stress management workshop, which is specifically designed to tailor the special needs and demands associated with the working situation of doctoral students. This workshop is part of the Doctorate plus certificate and is offered each semester.

The International Office is the central contact point for students and researchers from abroad – before, while and after their time spent at the university and coordinates offers regarding the cultural integration of international students and doctoral students, enabling their academic success.

The Research Data Service Center supports Research Data Management (RDM) throughout the entire research process – from research project planning and application filing to the publication and archiving of research data. The Service Point provides advice and designs basic, general RDM services for academics all across the University.

Sharing knowledge, making information accessible to all and accelerating academic debate — these are the aims of open access. The Open Access Service Center can help you publish your research findings in an open-access format, provide support with complying with open-access guidelines and advise on technical and financial issues connected with open access. 

The Studierendenwerk Bonn is a modern service provider for students of the University of Bonn, the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences as well as their employees. Our goal is to simplify the everyday life of more than 45,000 students in the university area of Bonn/Rhein-Sieg.

Transfer Center enaCom is an intermediary, translator and catalyst between science and stakeholders outside the scientific community. Our work focuses on making research results available for the benefits of society. enaCom is the central point of contact for all matters relating to university knowledge and technology transfer – for University of Bonn members and everyone else being interested to co-operate with us. We are the central gateway for start-ups and innovation management.

Bonn-Information is the tourist information office of the city of Bonn. We advise you on Bonn's tourist attractions, sell tickets for bus and walking tours and offer a wide range of souvenirs.

University Sports offers students and employees of the University of Bonn a comprehensive and inexpensive range of sports. Our courses and opportunities for individual sports activities include everything from acrobatics to Zumba, autogenic training and soccer, right up to our own gym.
