Writing an academic paper in English can be particularly demanding for non-native speakers of English. This workshop addresses the main challenges of writing research articles in English and provides tips and techniques for improving the coherence and clarity of academic texts.

Description
The two-day workshop is suitable for doctoral students from all subject areas who are preparing for or writing their first reseach article and want to brush up their English writing skills. We are going to master academic writing in the own discipline - seeing it from the international and interdisciplinary perspective.

- Brushing up your writing skills and avoiding common grammatical mistakes
- Crafting well-structured paragraphs and sentences
- Following the C-rules: being clear, concise, cohesive and cautious
- Using academic vocabulary effectively
