A workshop offered by the Human Resources Development

This experiential and inspirational workshop explores the skills required to successfully lead in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) settings of organizations in and outside of academia.

Transformational leadership in academia is especially positively related to job satisfaction, trust in the team, trust in the leader and the scientific performance of the team (Braun et al., 2013).

Understand where and how you lead at the moment – with or without a formal leadership position.
Learn some simple and effective tools which help you to be a driver for positive change and transformation.
Explore your own leadership biography
Dive into key aspects of transformational leadership, such as how to motivate and to create vision, how to rapidly prototype, how to create common ground and how to actively collaborate.
Design an own leadership project in which you want to take action and lead.

Is there a charge for the event?

No. Human Resources Development will cover the costs.

An event is fully booked, is there a waiting list?

Yes, if an event is fully booked, we will put you on the waiting list. You will then move up if a place becomes available again in time before the start of the event.

Are the premises accessible without barriers?

The premises of Poppelsdorfer Allee 31-33 will be barrier-free in the near future. At the moment construction work ist still taking place. If required please contact us in advance.

Is childcare available during the event?

If you need childcare during an event, please contact the Family Office of the University of Bonn.

Are external persons also allowed to participate in the event?

In order to be able to participate in the training offers of the Human Resources Development of the University of Bonn, you must have an employment contract with the University of Bonn, be an enrolled PhD student, be active in research for the University of Bonn or be an associated member of a research network.

What does certificate or certificate of attendance mean?

For all our event offerings, you will generally receive a confirmation of participation in the event and of its contents.

We also offer a certificate program along the three "Career Tracks": "Research", "Research Management" and "Business & Organizations". For more information, please see the corresponding page of the certificates. If the currently displayed training course can be credited to one of the three "tracks", this is indicated accordingly.
