Professorship (W2) in the field of theoretical quantum many-body physics: condensed matter and/or quantum optics

The research work shall include the theoretical description of condensed matter systems and/or quantum optical systems. Suitable candidates fit into the broad spectrum of topics covered by the Cluster of Excellence Matter and Light for Quantum Computing (ML4Q) and complement the already existing expertise. Teaching according to the Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung NRW is an integral part of the professorship, which includes teaching lecture courses and seminars on all levels of the courses of study in German and in English. The successful candidate should also be actively involved in academic self-governance.

The formal requirements are regulated by § 36 HG NRW.
