The members of the University of Bonn have in-depth expertise in a wide range of specialist areas. This can lead to creative ideas with great benefits for our society. The Transfer Center's ideas competition is all about realising precisely these ideas. It doesn't matter how big the idea is or what stage of development it is in.
There are prizes of 1000 euros to be won as well as further support for the projects. All members of the University of Bonn are eligible to submit. This includes students, doctoral candidates, researchers and alumni (up to three years after graduation) as well as employees of the university. Participation in the competition is possible as a group as well as an individual. The deadline for submitting ideas is 10 November 2024.
The most promising ideas will be selected from all submissions. The nominees can then present their ideas to an audience and a jury of experts at the grand finale on 3 December 2024. In preparation for the pitches, the Transfer Center enaCom's start-up consultancy offers coaching to all finalists beforehand. After the presentations, the jury will select the best ideas and an award ceremony will follow.

Workshops for brainstorming
You can find inspiration for finding ideas at one of the Transfer Center's workshops and events. For example, you can learn how to build creative scenarios with LEGO® bricks and come up with great ideas. At a networking event with entrepreneurs from the region, you will learn how really successful business people came up with their brilliant business idea in the beginning. Sign up and come along!
Of course, participation in the events does not obligate you to take part in the ideas competition.
