Our research is concerned with the interaction between light and matter at the nanoscopic and quantum level. We focus on understanding and controlling these interactions among single photons, spins and molecules. We are interested in research questions such as how to control the quantum states of a molecule with photons, how to increase the efficiency of these interactions, and how the structural properties of molecules and light, such as their handedness, manifest themselves in these interactions. The knowledge gained through our research could enable the use of molecules for quantum technology and facilitate sensitive probes for molecular sensing.
