Jochen Garcke is Professor for Numerics at the Institute for Numerical Simulation at the University of Bonn and heads the group "Numerical Data‐Driven Prediction" of Fraunhofer SCAI. His research focus is on machine learning, scientific computing, and numerical simulation for high-dimensional problems. Application areas comprise among others time series analysis and data analysis for the engineering industry in the automotive or wind energy domain. Current work at Fraunhofer SCAI aims at developing analysis tools for data arising during virtual product development or in the context of digital twins.
