my research focuses on the dynamic changes and consequences of alternative DNA and RNA structures in living cells. We correlate the formation and unfolding of DNA and RNA structures to functional changes within cells and set this into context of disease settings. We use molecular, biochemical and mathematical approaches to address this topic
