Description

We will dive into essential aspects of team development, leadership styles, and project management approaches - helping you navigate between classic, agile, and hybrid leadership. Additionally, you will gain insights into diversity-conscious communication and management tools to enhance your scientific projects.
We will work interactively and hands on with your exemplary critical experiences in an environment of trust. You will receive a documentation of our results and the workshop's material.

Please be open to learn with each other and from one another, to self-reflect and explore new ways of approaching and solving critical issues in scientific projects and their management.

Participants should use a laptop or desktop computer (tablets and cell phones are not recommended) equipped with a camera, and install the Zoom software. Please use head-phones if you partake in a room with other people, or in a noisy environment.

Content

In this workshop you will learn:

what makes a scientific project with a diverse team successful.
that our 4 Dimensions of Individual Diversity can provide the ground for mutual understanding and a project's resource and success as much as causes of misunderstandings among scientific project team members.
how to prevent, analyse and find first solutions to theses misunderstandings.
about basic features, roles and stages of team-development, leading to understand and find second solutions to critical situations in project teams.
that different leadership styles make a difference in how successfully your scientific projects with diverse members run.
to find your form of project leadership between classic, agile and hybrid forms.
how certain agile - or comparable - tools can support a diversity-conscious process, way of communication and management for scientific projects.
