International Club
You would like to meet other students and doctoral students and are interested in intercultural exchange? The International Club of the University of Bonn offers a broad program in a relaxed atmosphere. Join and get to know us!
What is the International Club?
The International Club—hosted by the International Office of the University of Bonn—is a meeting place for German and international students and doctoral students. During the semester the Club offers exciting, varied and integrative events which lead participants to socialize and to get to know other cultural backgrounds.
Activities
The International Club organizes various events, the most common types of which are explained below. We regularly organize other events in addition to those mentioned below, including karaoke and movie nights, game evenings, excursions and more. You are also welcome to put forward your own event ideas. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to email us at club@uni-bonn.de or simply pop along to the International Club. We’re looking forward to seeing you!

Sprachcafé
We hold a Sprachcafé (language café) once per week at 07:00 pm together with the International Students Department of the General Students’ Committee. It gives us a relaxed atmosphere in which to meet in order to simply chat among ourselves for a bit and get to know one another. If you like, you can talk to the other people there in different languages, either to practice or simply because you feel like it. Free drinks are available, and there is no need to book.
Café hours
During our café hours, the club is kept open for you in the daytime to give you a quiet place to work and study in company and get help with any administrative questions. You can also just pop by in order to chill a bit and meet friends. You don’t need to book — just come along whenever you like!
Cookery evenings
At the International Club’s cookery evenings, we all come together to cook either German or international food. We provide the ingredients, so all you need to bring is your appetite and a love of cooking! As space in the kitchen and our supply of ingredients are limited, however, we would ask that you register in advance.
