More than 27 manufacturers, government ministries and associations will be gathering at the Universitätsclub Bonn to provide information about career opportunities in the fields of AI and agriculture. The employers include both global organizations like CLAAS, TOMRA and Bayer and start-ups like DynamoBot and Escarda Technologies. “The PhenoRob Career Fair is an opportunity for students and doctoral candidates to learn about various businesses and organizations, expand their network of professional contacts and get to meet non-academic players,” says Katharina Monaco, Managing Director of the PhenoRob Cluster of Excellence.
In addition to visiting the various organizations at their stands, attendees can look forward to events such as Success Stories from the 2023 Career Fair, where three organizations will talk about their recruiting successes from the last Career Fair while presenting the career opportunities they offer. Three experts will talk to the public about their own personal career path in Meet the Expert. And Career Speed Dating will provide an opportunity to get into conversation with representatives from a range of industries in small groups. Separate registration is required to attend this event.

The PhenoRob Cluster of Excellence
PhenoRob is Germany’s only Cluster of Excellence that combines the agricultural sciences with engineering. Established in 2019, the Cluster conducts research into new approaches that promise to revolutionize crop cultivation. The mission of PhenoRob is to make key advancements in the interest of more productive, resource-efficient and sustainable crop production. This means reducing the ecological footprint in crop production, maintaining soil and farmland quality and identifying optimal ways to introduce new technologies.
Its researchers come from various fields—robotics, geodesy, computer science, agricultural sciences, economics and ecology—and are collaborating on new approaches for making agricultural cultivation more sustainable with the help of cutting-edge technologies. The Cluster of Excellence has already given rise to several market-ready products.
