Higher education analyst Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has published its international subject rankings for the year, in which 1,747 universities from around the world, including the University of Bonn, are compared based on various indicator criteria.

Alongside Agriculture and Forestry (55th worldwide, 4th in Germany), the University of Bonn achieved outstanding results in Mathematics (57th worldwide, 1st in Germany) and Economics/Econometrics (61st worldwide, 2nd in Germany). It also ranks among the top 100 worldwide in Classics and Ancient History, Biology, Philosophy and Dentistry according to QS.

This year’s QS Rankings covered 55 subjects; the University of Bonn was ranked in 24 of these. The rankings are determined based on four or five indicators depending on the subject, including academic reputation, employer reputation, citations and international research and publication networks.
