The University of Bonn offers individual coaching to all PhD holders and research managers. The confidential one-on-one meetings can be held in German or English.

You can agree on your concerns individually with your respective coach. Possible topics:

Determining your professional position
Defining transferable skills from your academic career/previous work experience for a post in research management
Individual career planning
Making career decisions & setting career goals
Preparation for written application, selection interviews and procedures

Frequently asked questions

Is there a charge for the event?

No. Human Resources Development will cover the costs.

Are the premises accessible without barriers?

The coaching sessions can be provided online or in person. If you require barrier-free premises, please get in touch with the contact person mentioned.

Is childcare available during the event?

If you need childcare during an event, please contact the Family Office.

Are external persons also allowed to participate in the event?

In order to be able to participate in the coaching offers of the Human Resources Development of the University of Bonn, you must have an employment contract with the University of Bonn.

What does certificate or certificate of attendance mean?

There ar 3 certificates along the three "Career Tracks": "Research", "Research Management" and "Business & Organizations" in which the coachings may be applicable. If the currently displayed event can be credited to one of the three "tracks", this is indicated accordingly.
