Participation in International Conferences
The Bonn Graduate Center supports conference trips abroad or online participation for doctoral students from all subjects. The prerequisite is a commitment from the conference organizer and the applicant's participation in the conference with their own contribution.
Funding for Doctoral Workshops in Bonn
Workshops or other small event formats in which doctoral students work on a research topic together with international researchers are funded.

Santander International Exchange Grants
The Santander Grants cover research stays by Bonn doctoral students at a foreign partner university or in a priority country as well as stays by doctoral students at the University of Bonn.
Pathways to Research
The program supports doctoral students with a refugee or migration background during the time of their doctorate. Among other component, the program comprises a 36-month scholarship worth €1,500 per month.
STIBET-Scholarships for International Doctoral Students
Within the framework of the DAAD program "STIBET Doctoral Students", international doctoral students at the University of Bonn can apply for two types of scholarships.
Support for Parents in the Finishing Phase of their PhD
This measure is intended to support parents financially in the finishing phases of their studies or doctoral studies. The aim of the subsidy is to relieve the burden of looking after children or doing everyday household chores and thus gaining more time for the final theses.
“Get finished” Scholarship for Doctoral Students
This scholarship is aimed at doctoral students from Africa, Asia and Latin America who are obtaining a doctorate at the University of Bonn and who are about to complete their doctoral dissertation project (max. 6 months).
Argelander Scholarships for Doctoral Students from Universities in countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America
Invitation of doctoral students at universities in Africa, Asia and Latin America to research stays in Bonn (3–12 months).
Erasmus+ Funding Opportunities for International Mobility
Erasmus+ to study or conduct research at partner universities or do an internship in over 30 countries in Europe and the wider world. For staff members, Erasmus+ offers opportunities for international qualification through work shadowing at European universities or other institutions.
