My research focuses on understanding the interstellar medium (atomic, molecular and dust) and how its properties influence star formation and galaxy evolution. To this aim, I make use of data from large surveys of the Milky Way (such as SEDIGISM, OGHReS, and Hi-GAL) and nearby galaxies (such as PHANGS and EDGE-CALIFA), and sophisticated, machine learning-based algorithms (e.g. SCIMES).
