Our research focuses on exploring molecular dynamics in condensed phases using coherent non-linear spectroscopy with ultrashort laser pulses. A particular emphasis is laid on chemical reactions such as isomerizations, dissociations, as well as proton and electron transfers. In addition, we utilize multidimensional infrared spectroscopy to unravel ultrafast structural relaxation and energy transfer processes in liquids and supercritical fluids. State-of-the-art spectroscopy is usually complemented by either quantum-chemical calculations or molecular dynamics simulations.
