Cyber Security
In the Programme Cyber Security, the security of computer systems and the security-compliant interaction with them are researched. Here, both technical and organisational security aspects of computer systems are analysed, measures for attack detection and mitigation are developed and the human factors in the design of security-compliant software development and system operation is researched. These research fields of Cyber Security have both a strong, intradisciplinary interaction with classical Computer Science and an increasingly important interdisciplinary connection to other subject areas of the natural sciences and humanities, social sciences and law.
The degree programme consists of a comprehensive training of subject-specific methods and tools of Cyber Security as well as selected contents of classical Computer Science. In order to develop optional, interdisciplinary research approaches, it is possible to complete some modules from areas outside the subject.
