Strategy and International Security
The MA in Strategy and International Security is designed for students from Germany and abroad who want to acquire an in-depth knowledge of strategy research and security policy. It is oriented strongly toward practical, real-world application and adopts a broad understanding of the term “security.”
The master’s degree program provides a comprehensive and transdisciplinary overview of some of the fundamental and current research topics in strategy research and security policy. It employs an innovative and consistently interdisciplinary approach that links research findings from political sciences, international law and the history of diplomacy to questions of geo-economics, technology policy and development policy. The colloquium that forms an integral part of the curriculum gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have acquired on their degree program, prepare themselves for the requirements of working life and obtain some practical career guidance with an internship either in Germany or further afield.
