Preliminary Course "Geosciences"
Course description
The geosciences encompass a broad field of research, which at the University of Bonn includes geology, geophysics, paleontology and mineralogy/petrology. Accordingly, a broad range of knowledge and skills are required to study geosciences successfully. The preliminary course in geosciences introduces participants to program contents and scientific methods in the four subfields. Moreover, it is an opportunity to get to know teachers and students of advanced semesters. Given the degree program’s emphasis on the natural sciences, attending the preliminary courses in Mathematics (minor) and Chemistry (minor) is strongly recommended. Both preliminary courses take place before the preliminary course in geosciences. The registration for the pre-course Geosciences ("Geowissenschaften") takes place via preCampus (just scroll down -> Registration). You will receive further information after registration in the preCampus folder.
