In addition to face-to-face, via email or phone, we can now also advise you via Signal.
Please note: Advice via Signal is currently available for the Global Exchange Program and PROMOS scholarships as well as for Erasmus+ Study Abroad and Erasmus+ Traineeship. Depending on the program, the consultation takes place at different times.

What to bear in mind for Signal consultations
- We are only available on Signal at the times specified above; any messages received outside of these hours will be left unanswered.
- Please do not disclose any personal data such as date of birth, student ID number or passwords.
- All chats are deleted immediately after the consultation. We do not store any chat logs or phone numbers.
- You can indicate your real name or choose to remain anonymous.
- Chat is envisaged for brief consultations only. If you would like to have a more detailed consultation, you are welcome to book an appointment with us for a Zoom meeting or give us a call.
- The number indicated is only used for Signal chat consultations. Please do not use it to call us.

Objective
Complementing the existing consultation formats International Outbound Mobility (Section 6.2) offers at the International Office, chat consultations represent an additional option for exchanging information with students and prospective students.
Language
Signal consultation is offered in German and English.
Optional use
Please note that the use of our Signal consultation is completely optional. You will not be at a disadvantage if you contact International Outbound Mobility (Section 6.2) via a different route instead (email, phone, video conference or in person). (Important: As a precautionary measure and to contain further spreading of the coronavirus (COVID-19), in-person consultation are canceled until further notice.) Safety and Privacy Notes
Please note: Being Signal users themselves, International Office staff have no influence as to how Signal uses or processes information that you share via chat. International Office staff can only adjust safety and privacy settings as allowed for by the provider.
Please be aware that information communicated via Signal can be stored and used by the provider. We cannot guarantee that communication via Signal is safe. We will never ask you for personal, private information or other confidential data (e.g. your real first and last name, address, phone number, email address, passwords, bank details). Never share sensitive, personal, identity-related and confidential information via Signal. Depending on standard privacy settings and technical network safety, there is always the risk that such information is accessed and made visible by third party providers.

It is not permitted to publish information about other persons. We must request that you respect the privacy of others: For information (including pictures and videos) related to third parties, the consent of the third party is required. Please note that publishing pictures of or information on third parties may be illegal.
