Reporting and advice centres - Anti-discrimination

The University of Bonn places the highest value on fairness, equal treatment, respectful communication and amicable behaviour of all its members. Discrimination, harassment and violence are not tolerated. Reporting offices for misconduct and counselling centres for employees and students can be found here.

Reporting centres

Have you noticed an incident of abuse of power, discrimination or misconduct? By submitting a report, you can help to clarify the situation. Our contact points, such as the University Representative against Abuse of Power and the Gender Equality Office, offer support and will process the case confidentially. Reports can also be submitted anonymously.

Internal Reporting Office

The university's internal reporting office enables employees, students and external partners to report legal violations or misconduct confidentially. All reports are examined in strict confidence and whistleblowers are protected against identity disclosure and discrimination in the best possible way.

Good Research Practice

The Ombudsman is the first point of contact in cases of suspected academic misconduct and provides support in clarifying such cases. Other points of contact are the Investigative Commission for Research Misconduct and the Ombudsperson Office for Early-Career Researchers. All contact details can be found here.

Reporting discrimination

University members who are affected by sexualised discrimination or violence can report this to the Gender Equality Office. If you wish, you can receive support on how to proceed, including counselling and help to appropriately clarify the situation.
