Section 1.1 Academic Affairs
Section 1.1 provides advice and support to University management and all University members on the many varied academic tasks and questions that arise in the course of teaching, learning and research and the self-administration that each requires. Besides serving as the administrative office for the Senate, we are responsible for holding academic committee elections and conducting legal supervision of the student body on behalf of the Rectorate.

- Awarding of the title “Adjunct Professor,” An-Institute (private institutions affiliated with the University), bylaws, centers, central appointment procedures, central operating units and the Senate, central research units, committees, cooptations, cotutelle arrangements, academic committee elections, faculty matters, graduate funding, graves of professors, awarding of the title “Honorary Professor,” official announcements, official seals, regulations (such as faculty regulations, doctoral degree regulations, Habilitation regulations), scholarships (stipendien@verwaltung.uni-bonn.de), the semester handbook (semesterhandbuch@verwaltung.uni-bonn.de), semester-long research sabbaticals, and student fraternity law
In the area of student affairs, we are additionally responsible for:
- Internship agreements—“Convention de Stage” (convention@verwaltung.uni-bonn.de), student accident insurance1 (studunfall@verwaltung.uni-bonn.de) and document pre-certifications (apostille@verwaltung.uni-bonn.de)
