Division 5 - Finances
Finances is responsible for the entire financial and personnel budget at the University of Bonn and prepares the budget plan and annual financial statements. In addition to internal and external accounting, Finances is also in charge of managing tax and customs matters and central purchasing for the entire University.

External Accounting
External Accounting is responsible for finance and accounting at the University of Bonn. The section handles accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset accounting and payments. External Accounting also prepares the commercial annual financial statements, is the point of contact for tax matters, assists with various third party examinations and reports to the University of Bonn Rectorate and other bodies.

Human Resources Analysis/Plan of established posts management
The key responsibility of Human Resources Analysis and Funds Management is to manage funds for staff as part of the budgeting process and maintain a central plan of established posts.

Acquisitions (Purchasing) and Customs
Acquisitions (Purchasing) and Customs is responsible for legally compliant procurements (purchase, rent, lease) of goods, services and event rooms, as well as customs processing for goods imports and export processing (including knowledge transfer) to and from third countries (non-EU countries) for research, teaching and administration.

Financial and Academic Controlling
Financial and Academic Controlling prepares management accounting analyses and financial and key figure reports, e.g. university statistics. It also allocates internal service charges and manages funds centers and cost centers. The section also provides data for internal and external requests (ranking, statistics, etc.).
