The winner is selected from a poll of nominees, of age 45 years and beyond, who are recognized senior investigators in the field of chemoinformatics and Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationships (QSAR) research. The award is named after Professor Toshio Fujita of Kyoto University, a pioneer in the QSAR field together with the late Professor Corwin Hansch.
The award ceremony was held recently at the 21st European Symposium on Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (EuroQSAR) 2016 Congress in Verona.
