Last chance to apply for this year’s Falling Walls Lab Rhineland, which will take place on September 12, 2019. Bachelor and Master students, postdocs, junior professionals, entrepreneurs and junior professors are invited to apply. Ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, ideas and business models from all disciplines are welcome.
Selected participants will compete at Falling Walls Lab Rhineland to win a trip to the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin on November 8, 2019, and a ticket to the Falling Walls Conference. In total, 100 applicants world-wide can qualify for the Finale in Berlin. Each finalist will receive the opportunity to again present their research work, initiative or business model within three minutes in front of a high-calibre jury from academia, research and business. The three Finale winners receive a cash prize and the opportunity to present their idea on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Conference the next day.
The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations, and to promote the exchange between outstanding emerging scholars and professionals from various fields of expertise.

The Falling Walls Lab Rhineland is hosted by the University of Cologne in cooperation with University of Bonn, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Forschungszentrum Jülich and RWTH Aachen University and will take place on September 12, 2019 (2 pm) at Aula 1 and 2 (Main Building), Albertus-Magnus-Platz, University of Cologne, 50923 Cologne.
