University Development Plan
For more than 200 years, the University of Bonn has been one of the best-performing universities in Europe with its excellent top-level research. In 2019, we became the most successful university in the national competition with six Clusters of Excellence and the title "University of Excellence".
A key foundation for these outstanding successes was our strategy "WE invest in people, WE foster networks, WE create impact". This strategy is a basis of our University's future concept, which is explained in detail in the University Development Plan. It summarizes the University's profile, status quo, goals and measures for the future.
Annual Report of the Rectorate
The Annual Report of the Rectorate provides facts, pictures and charts setting out the high points of the last University year. The printed edition of the Annual Report is available from Division 8 - University Communications. The Annual Report and Facts and Figures are available online dating back to 2015.
“forsch” - The Magazine of The University of Bonn
The Bonn university magazine is published a number of times a year. Covering a range of topics from university life, it provides exclusive reports from the university political system, research and teaching, and gives updates about the activities of various university personalities. This strengthens the identification of University staff with the wider University community. “forsch” is available at various stands in University buildings and directly from the University Communications Division. The latest edition is also available in digital form from our download area.

The annual publication “Studienkompass” issued in German by the Central Study Advisory and Counseling Service is provided free-of-charge to all new students, prospective students and interested citizens. Pick up your personal printed copy of the Study Compass at the info box all about studying at the University of Bonn outside of Poppelsdorfer Allee 49 and at various other pick-up boxes (Google Maps).
