The holder of the professorship is to represent the field of internal medicine and cardiology, especially cardiovascular intensive care medicine, in its full breadth within research, teaching, and medical treatment. The position is based at the Cardiac Center in Medical Clinic and Polyclinic II at University Hospital Bonn (Director: Prof. Dr. Georg Nickenig) and is linked to a consultant role.
We are looking for a proven expert in cardiovascular intensive care medicine with expertise in conducting clinical trials, documented by the acquisition of third-party funding and relevant publications. The independent conducting of interventional heart catheterization procedures is desirable.
The candidate is to strengthen and further develop the existing profile areas, especially the cardiovascular research focus, and research networks of the Faculty of Medicine. Excellent academic achievements and third-party funding as well as proven teaching skills are required.
The successful candidate must have completed a degree in medicine and specialist certification in ninternal medicine and cardiology, habilitation or equivalent academic achievements and teaching experience in accordance with section 36 of the University Law NRW.
