Successful candidates are expected to be internationally renowned in experimental molecular inorganic chemistry with a broad research program that complements and strengthens
the areas represented by the existing research groups within the Institute and the Department of Chemistry. The candidate is expected to actively participate in the acquisition of third-party
funding and to contribute to the development of collaborative research programs.

Teaching is an integral part of the professorial position and teaching in all stages of the study courses in German and/or English language is required. Relevant teaching experience is therefore expected. Cooperation in academic administration is also expected.

The general conditions of employment are according to § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen).
