The University of Bonn is an internationally networked, world-leading research university with an excellent track record in clearly defined fields of research. In addition to two Nobel Prizes, two Fields Medals, many Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prizes and other academic honors, a further indicator of Bonn's research success is the some €180 million of third-party funding awarded to its researchers, obtained on an annual basis as part of competitive application procedures. The University of Bonn has maintained six Clusters of Excellence since 2019—more than any other German university.

Would you like to move to the University of Bonn for your next career step? With the "Argelander Starter-Kit Grant (A) - Stepping Stone", we offer you up to two years of employment as a stepping stone to an academic career. The grant focusses on the preparation of a third-party funding proposal.
